As someone who was raised as a Christian and spent years at a private Christian school, I just have this to say.
Fundamentalist Christians are perhaps the most cruel and mean-spirited people you'll ever meet, and their gross ignorance (especially of science) makes me want to vomit. I shudder to think what I'd be like today if I hadn't gotten out of that school when I did...if I'd had the indoctrination poured into me for even longer...I'd probably still be like my parents, and that's a horrifying thought.
Every time a Christian criticizes my evil Atheism, just remind them of all of their god's atrocities, and ask if they agree with them. They seem to get especially uncomfortable with the story of Lot, for some reason...maybe it's because their anti-gay rants get shut down by reminding them that their god's idea of a good person is someone willing to throw his daughters out to a mob to be raped?
In any case, all religion is nothing more than fairy tales. Hell, even if God was real and the Bible was 100% accurate, I would never kneel to someone as murderous and barbaric as him.
